Well hello 2015 and Happy New Year everyone!
After a little over a month off, yes over a month, there was this little thing called a wedding and then straight into holidays, so I am just catching up and kicking off my start to the new year!
Before I get into the new year there is one last photo I want to share from 2014, you’ve been asking and of course I’d love to share! When Dan and I talked about a winter wedding in the mountains of Vermont, this is what I pictured and it came true!

Thank you Joe!
So here we are January 13th (ooh the 13th, that photo was a month ago 🙂 I’ve been married for a month!) and I am just getting going and thinking about resolutions. Well not so much “resolutions” more just things I would like to do this year. Dan and I both talked about doing something we haven’t done before once a month. It seems like a lot, but at the same time I’m sure there are things everyone does at least once a month that they haven’t before, but just don’t think of it like that. Should be fun 🙂
In getting back into the swing of things yesterday I came to the realization that I really haven’t been doing much of anything active or in the form of exercise since before the wedding, like at all! Yikes. Thinking about how true that is going through my email I came across a blog post from I heart Vegetables which begins with the words “Is anyone else struggling to get back into an exercise routine?” She was speaking to me! That and everyone is in “let’s get back into shape” mode with the start of the new year. I did read the post and learned about Tracy Anderson and her methods with dance and her workout dvds. I heart vegetables made an impulse buy with Tracy Anderson’s Dance + Cardio that prompted her post, that post came to me at the right time and now I’ve made a little impulsive new year resolution purchase myself. I’ll let you know my thoughts when it comes in! But I figure, I like to change up the workouts, I LOVE to dance, worth a shot! Do check out I heart vegetables as well, she’s got some great recipes!
I do have thoughts and plans for photography projects this year, it is about time I bring to life some of the ideas that are in my head! Very much looking forward to a gallery exhibit in the near future!
Changes too are coming to Sarah Megan Photography, it’s going to be a big year! The house construction is underway and I’m looking forward to a new natural light studio space!
Yay for a new year, new projects and new beginnings!
A new year begins for little SGR and her family as well!
She turned one at the end of 2014 and now kicks off SMP portrait sessions of 2015 like a pro.
In case you just couldn’t tell 🙂 She is such an easy-going happy little girl! I am so grateful and happy that I get to watch these little ones as they grow and come into their own personalities, It feels like just the other day I was photographing her as a newborn, just as happy and easy-going as she is today! Now that she is a walking machine, we had to take the session outdoors, that and mom said snow photos and I said of course! Little S was up for it and excited to wear her adorable new vest!
Once outside she was much more interested in trying to eat the snow than anything else, but adorable none the less
Thank you for kicking off 2015 with your smiles and laughs!
Here’s to 2015, a new year with much to look forward to!
Did you make any resolutions this year? Are they still resolutions? 🙂
May your new year bring you happiness and may it be all that you hope it will be!
