Welcome home and to negative temps, yikes its cold out here! San Antonio wasn’t that warm, but might as well have been the tropics compared to New England.
I know you have all been on the edge of your seats, yes I got up early and spent my last morning in San Antonio exploring the city. I walked past the Alamo every day as it was directly across the street from my hotel, though I never actually went in or really looked at it until that morning. Early morning, coffee in hand I peeked inside and took photos of the locked Alamo before any tourists or employees could ruin my shot. 🙂
Of course I did return to the Alamo on my way back to the hotel. So yes I did go in and did take more photos.
I made my way up and down the river walk after, and I must say it was peaceful being there so early. All the restaurants and shops were closed recovering from a late night. Even the birds and ducks were just waking up. My first experience of the river walk was at night in the pouring rain. Despite the rain it was quite pretty with all the lights from restaurants and walkways reflecting in the water and the collection of people everywhere you looked. This early morning visit was much much different and these are the photos I will share with you, my experience from the still of the morning.
With all the stores closed I did not get to have any puffy tacos on the river walk 🙁 But, I found a restaurant at the airport to sit at AND it had puffy tacos! Soooooo good, just to let you know! 🙂 I highly recommend them, even if I may not have had the most authentic.
It’s back to the grind here at home. I am proud to announce that I have successfully died cheesecloth, well one section anyways. I am going to attempt a tea stain tonight 🙂
My business card is almost ready to order! Wooo hooo! A few design difficulties, not with my amazing designer, rather with me not knowing what I want and not knowing how to explain it 🙂 you know that, and a little of this, but more of that 🙂 I think I drove him nuts! Much better now and he’s creating like mad even now while I write this. I am getting excited I can’t wait to see what the finished product will be!
